According to Statistics Finland, there are nearly 519,000 unemployed people in Finland, i.e. 20.4 per cent of the workforce. For about 90,000 unemployed people, the unemployment has lasted for more than a year. Some 116,000 of the unemployed people are under 25 years of age.
