24 February

Seven politicians, who belong to an opposition group within the Social Democratic Party, formed during the Interim Peace, are sentenced to 2–3 years imprisonment. They had been dismissed from the Party in September 1940 when they had criticised the Party’s policy during the Winter War.

4 June

President Risto Ryti honours Field Marshal Mannerheim with the title Marshal of Finland on the latter’s 75th birthday. Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler visits Finland to congratulate Mannerheim.
